I admire people who have the courage, perhaps the audacity, to put themselves out there on broad topics, especially when they're as sensitive as this one.

Growing up in a severely repressive environment, there were many things I didn't know about myself well into adulthood. Being trans was one I didn't realize until fairly late in life, though looking back the signs were there.

It will be nice if they ever discover the cause for gender divergence, whether it is inborn, developmental or some combination of the two. For my life, the proof is that I am so much happier identifying and living as a woman, despite the drawbacks. I'm so glad to have found this out about myself, even if it did come as late as it did.
