I think what is infuriating about Walsh is his contemptuous treatment of trans people. If he were just supremely self-confident, he would be more of a figure of fun than someone who provokes anger; but he mocks our pain.

It has taken me a while to distance myself from the hostility he inspired within me, and I remain vulnerable to it. His arguments are nothing; it's his self-righteousness and brutality that truly offend, as well as stupidity and ignorance being lauded by hordes of people as wisdom and insight. That is outrageous.
