I think you discover for yourself what being a woman means; and you don't need affirmation from a man to do it. You start with the axiom, "I am a woman," and go on to, "What do I mean?" and that's the question that never ends, because there is always more to discover.

Of course, endless navel-gazing is a detour from what really matters. As St. Francis said, "It is in giving that we receive" -- or, if you prefer the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as the Ancient One said to Dr. Strange: the simplest and most significant lesson of all is, "It's not about you."
