Kudos to Erin Reed for her courage and her hard work.
I'm glad you mentioned Walsh's "punching down." I have long held the opinion that he only shoots fish in barrels.
I confess, I have not sat through the whole of his video addressing his question, "What is a Woman?" I have seen snippets, and I have seen some of his response to criticisms. I am forced to wonder how much substance ended up on the cutting room floor.
I have also seen some of the infamous exchange on the Dr. Phil show, which was pathetic. This is where I formed my opinion about fish and barrels.
Walsh's objections are easily answered; but I have no confidence that he is an honest broker for the truth. I'm sure he thinks he is, but I am not going to give him the benefit of the doubt. He'll have to prove it to me.
I can't watch the man. His self-satisfied self-righteousness is insufferable. I do listen to him on the radio from time to time.
I know that most people think that you have to respond to people like Walsh or they win by default. It may be counter-intuitive, but I don't necessarily agree. If all someone has to do is throw something at you to get you to engage with them, then they are in control; and I will not let anyone control me. I might respond to his arguments when speaking to someone else, but I will not let that man force from me one moment of my time.
Truth will prevail, in the long run; it always does, one way or another. The only question is how much pain will be endured in the meantime.
