"Previously, I have called for developing systems of legal recognition of trans people that also leaves adequate room to recognize biological sex wherever relevant, so that single-sex spaces can be maintained, for example. I have also repeatedly called for the development of trans rights solutions that will accommodate the concerns of other parties."
The solutions are there, too; but the voiced on both sides seem to have no interest in them. I flatter myself in thinking that I know several of these solutions; and I have tried repeatedly to put these before people on the Right, because they seem less closed-off than people on the Left. But it seems that, unless you have made a name for yourself on social media, unless you have some kind of presence, you are dismissed out-of-hand.
When you realize the solution to a problem that is creating terrible consequences, the direness of the situation only emphasizes its poetry, its beauty. It's like looking upon nature at a high-altitude, with the snow-capped peaks of the Rocky Mountains in the background. It is the peaceful reconciliation of apparently chaotic forces, all working together to create a lush and diverse cooperative harmony.
And no one seems to want a solution badly enough to listen. Is it that they are afraid? because so much of this conflict is driven by fear. Or do they simply just want to fight?
