There are no easy answers here.
When Nicole Maines grew up and transitioned, being trans was not a political issue. Lucky her. Today, however, it is very much a political issue; and that means that, regardless of what we think we deserve, we must think in terms of what we can get. The two are not the same; and, if you insist on trying to make them the same, you will only cause heartache (and, perhaps, physical abuse) for yourself and others, without making much headway.
The current fight is not about what we deserve; it's about what we can get; and what we can get is not a matter of out-politicking our adversaries! You must understand this. The inertia is all on their side; you must accept this, or your efforts will be wasted, or, worse, cause more harm than good.
We must reframe our situation in terms our adversaries can accept without threatening their world-view -- and, amazingly enough, it is possible. The trans activists have not pursued this avenue, because they embrace Marxist memes; but the avenue exists.
We must be able to counter the assaults of people like Rep. Nancy Mace and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene without simply declaring a negative of whatever they say. They can be answered; I know how to do it.
We must recognize that we are very much a minority in a society that does not understand us, and which is being told daily that we are mentally incompetent. We cannot fight this by simply saying, No. We must be able to respond intelligently -- more intelligently than our adversaries. And we can. I know how.
