This discussion is interesting to me, personally, because I became aware of my own gender divergence as a result of an individuation project that took on a life of its own.

It's hard -- to say the least -- to be objective when oneself is the subject; but I have concluded that, whether gender divergence is psychopathological, a biological variant or a mixture of both, it rarely changes; so, I go forward assuming it's a fact of my life, regardless. The merely academic questions are of only passing interest to me, at this point.
