This is a brilliant essay.

One point: Jesus did not treat his accusers with decorum. He called them out repeatedly; it's one of the reasons they hated him. What he didn't do was resist them. When Jesus was arrested, and Peter struck off the ear of the high priest's servant, Jesus told him to put his sword away because his kingdom was not of this world.

But Jesus called out the Pharisees all the time. Read it yourself; his language was a lot stronger than Rep. Zephyr's. Ouch.
